All Aboard the Painting Train!

While Kellan has experimented with number of different artistic media, such as crayons, markers and watercolors, nothing has held his attention or interested him as much as painting with trains.  I have seen this idea in a number of kids books and mom blogs, but had never tried it for fear of the mess.  Just put some blobs of finger paint on a big sheet of paper, get some cars or trains and let 'em loose!  I have to say that the mess is well worth it.  Afterwards K has fun washing the brushes and his trains off in the sink, too.  He has a great time and he has even made some pretty cool art!  So I think that train painting is K's first real art experience...
