An Interview with a Yogurt Virtuoso

When we first moved here, I went to IKEA looking for bibs. They had bibs, but they also had smocks.  I felt a smock was the most appropriate choice for my child.  This is why.
Kellan has decided that he loves yogurt so much that he is going to use it as an artistic medium.  He's so revolutionary.  I mean, who would have thought...yogurt as ready-to-wear fashion?  Needless to say, he's really excited about this new venture.  And I was really excited when he invited me to his studio for this photo shoot.
He was so excited about the piece he was working on today that he even ate a little bit of yogurt.  But it's not all fun and games, folks.  He does some serious contemplation and has a very thoughtful artistic process.
 He feels it is incredibly important to be completely at one with his medium;
 to know it's texture through all the senses.
 What is it like to be yogurt, he wonders?  He believes asking these types of questions allow for a connection and understanding of one's medium that are crucial to making meaningful art.

And when he completes a piece?  Pure bliss.  His passion for his work is unmatched.  So grateful for the opportunity to photograph this up and coming yogurt virtuoso.
