German Word of the Day: "Spielen"

spielen = to play
Ich spiele.  Kellan spielt.  Daddy spielt.  Wir haben spaß.  Meet Google Translate, my best friend in Germany.

It's starting to get a little bit warmer here in Köln.  We are getting in more and more park time.  Stadtwald, the very large park near our house, has multiple playgrounds throughout.  Even though the temps are rising (into the 40's), we still keep K pretty bundled up when we go out on walks or runs.  He quite likes his little cocoon.
K is an international playground connosieur these days.  He has some favorite spots at this playground, one being these little elevated wooden playhouses.
 A small stream and path go by this playground, and people often walk by with their dogs, which always catches K's attention.

 Daddy had to show off a little and climb to the top of this dangerous toy that we are fairly sure would be sued out of the United States if someone built it there.
 The swings are always a favorite.

 Especially this cool German basket swing!

K loves this bouncy toy...
 And running along a path of low benches that line a huge sand box.

Hopefully we will soon be spielen in jackets instead of coats...  Come on Früling!
