First Hair Cut

Wipe your tears, Ladies.  I'm sorry, but this was something we could not avoid.  The back of Kellan's head was a perpetual rat's nest, despite my best efforts consisting of multiple daily attacks with detangler (which he hated).  So we did it.

A wonderful stylist named Marsha did the deed and she did a fabulous job.  This will be the fourth generation of our family whose hair Marsha has cut.  She did my grandmother's hair, my mother and aunt's hair, my hair and now Kellan's.  I know you are expecting something similar to the Santa Claus post, but K really pulled through and was a big boy for this.  We just had to bribe him with raisins.

Just eating the raisins kept him happy for a while.  He did occasionally bat at Marsha's hands, causing her to almost cut/stab herself multiple times, but she was a great sport about it.

Kellan was so pleased with Marsha that he decided that she deserved some raisins, too.

Again, Marsha was a great sport about it, though she pointed out it was the first time a toddler - or anyone for that matter - fed her while she was giving a hair cut.  K's a special guy!

For more pics of K with his new hair cut, check out my next post - A Special Birthday Wish.
